Student Teacher Spring 2024

This application is for Student Teachers who will conduct their student teaching in the Spring of 2024.
You must already be placed in a school before you are eligible to fill out the application.
Student teachers will be able to substitute in classrooms throughout the district when their student teaching concludes.
We highly encourage all student teachers to sub throughout our district.
Job Description: Teaches subject matter, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education, correlated with other appropriate learning activities that the regular teacher has provided.
Supervise students in class, or in some cases may be asked to work with students one on one.
Cover or rotate to other assignments within the school if needed.
Utilizes computers and other technological classroom support equipment in student instruction.
Must be familiar with computer technology (i.
e.
Google Suite) Maintains classroom organization and discipline Establishes and maintains Standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere Provides and maintains a safe and supervised environment in the classroom and the school grounds Communicates and cooperates with other professional staff Demonstrates professional ethics as outlined by the Utah Professional Practices Advisory Commission Conforms to district policies Attendance must be adequate to acceptably perform listed job functions Possesses problem solving skills Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with students, school, staff, district staff and patrons.
Communicates effectively Other job duties as needed.
